If you are just starting out in Wizard Alchemy, the game can honestly feel a little overwhelming at first. There are different races, potion recipes, elemental shards, bosses, staffs, materials, chest locations, and crafting systems all thrown at you almost immediately. A lot of beginners end up wasting materials or putting stats into the wrong upgrades because the game does not explain everything very clearly.

This guide breaks everything down in simple English so you can understand how progression actually works, which races are worth using, how to make stronger potions, where to farm materials, and how to level up faster without getting stuck early on.

One of the first things every new player should do is redeem the available codes because they give useful rewards, especially race rerolls.

To redeem codes:

  1. Open the Settings menu
  2. Go into the Codes section
  3. Enter the code exactly as shown

Current working codes mentioned in the update include:

  • RELEASE
  • WIZARD

These codes mainly help by giving race-related rewards, which is extremely important early in the game since your race affects how strong your build becomes later on.

Best Races for Beginners

Races are a huge part of progression in Wizard Alchemy because they directly affect your combat strength and spell effectiveness.

Right now, the strongest Epic race for most players is Crystal.

The reason Crystal is so popular is because Ice spells are incredibly powerful at the moment. They deal strong damage and make farming enemies much easier, especially during early and mid-game progression.

If you are lucky enough to pull one of the ultra-rare 1% races, that is obviously even better, but for most players, Crystal is the realistic goal.

A good race can completely change your experience in the game. Beginners using weak starter races often struggle against stronger enemies, while players with good elemental bonuses progress much faster.

Understanding Magic Power and Potion Crafting

Potion crafting is probably the most confusing part of the game when you first start playing.

A lot of new players throw random materials into the cauldron and hope for something good, but the system actually makes much more sense once you understand two important mechanics:

  • Total Magic Power
  • Elemental Shards

What Does Magic Power Do?

Magic Power increases your chances of creating stronger spells and higher-quality potions.

The higher your total Magic Power becomes, the better your potion results usually are.

One of the best materials for increasing Magic Power is:

  • Furnace Core

This material gives very high Magic Power and is commonly used in stronger potion recipes.

What Do Elemental Shards Do?

Elemental Shards add elemental affinity to your potion.

For example:

  • Ice Shard boosts Ice element chance
  • Fire Shard boosts Fire element chance
  • Dark Shard boosts Dark element chance

Each shard gives roughly a 50% boost toward that element type when crafting.

So instead of randomly hoping for an element, you can actually guide the potion toward a specific element using shards.

Best Element in Wizard Alchemy

At the moment, Dark is considered the strongest element in the game.

The reason players love Dark potions is because they can deal extremely high burst damage, especially against bosses like the Dwarf King.

Dark legendary potions are currently some of the strongest offensive options available, and high-level players often use them for fast farming runs.

Ice is also very strong, especially for beginners using the Crystal race, but Dark tends to dominate late-game damage output.

How to Get Materials

There are two main ways to farm materials in the game:

  • Defeating enemies
  • Opening chests around the map

Enemy Drops Explained

Every enemy has its own material drop table.

You can actually check drops through the Index menu after discovering enemies.

For example:

  • Knife Goblins can drop Goblin Fingers and Goblin Bones
  • Pickaxe Dwarves can drop Dwarf Emblems and Golden Teeth

The rarer the enemy, the better the potential materials usually become.

Elite enemies and bosses especially give some of the strongest crafting materials in the game.

Best Boss to Farm for Money

The best farming boss right now is the Dwarf King.

If your goal is making gold quickly, this boss is absolutely worth learning.

The Dwarf King drops valuable materials and gives strong money rewards compared to regular enemies. Once your build becomes strong enough, farming this boss repeatedly becomes one of the fastest progression methods in the game.

If you are still a beginner, you should focus on quests and normal enemies first before fully committing to boss farming.

Important Hidden Locations

One thing the game does really well is hiding powerful equipment in secret areas around the map.

A lot of beginners completely miss these locations.

Ember Staff Location

Near the Dwarf King area, there is a hidden treehouse that many players overlook.

Climb up to the top and you can find the Ember Staff waiting there.

This is one of the stronger staffs available during progression and is definitely worth grabbing once you can reach the area safely.

Ice Wizard Wand Location

There is also an Ice Wizard Wand hidden near a waterfall.

The wand costs 20,000 gold, so it is not exactly cheap for beginners, but it becomes a strong upgrade later on.

Elite Enemies Worth Farming

Some elite enemies spawn in special locations and are much stronger than normal mobs.

These enemies are worth fighting because they drop rare materials.

Important elite enemies include:

  • Mutant Archer Goblin
  • Mutant Warhammer Dwarf

These enemies can be difficult early on, so learning how to dodge and parry attacks becomes very important.

Chest Locations and Why They Matter

Chests are incredibly useful because they can contain rare crafting materials and elemental shards.

Some players ignore them completely, which is honestly a mistake.

The guide mentions several chest locations around the map, including:

  • Near the lighthouse
  • Behind hidden areas at the back of the map
  • Near elite enemy zones
  • Near cliffs and side paths

One important detail is that chests respawn after several hours, meaning you can revisit locations repeatedly.

Players have reported getting rewards like:

  • Fire Shards
  • Ice Shards
  • Flame Crests

Because shards are extremely important for potion crafting, chest farming is actually very valuable long-term.

Best Potion Crafting Strategy

A really smart crafting strategy is:

  1. Stack high Magic Power materials first
  2. Add your desired elemental shard last

For example:

  • Use Furnace Cores and other high-power materials
  • Add a Fire Shard at the end

This gives you both:

  • High-quality potion potential
  • Increased Fire element chance

This method is far more effective than randomly mixing ingredients together.

Refining Potions

Another mechanic many beginners forget about is potion refining.

You can refine potions to improve their rank and strength.

Higher-ranked potions become significantly stronger, and eventually you can create extremely powerful S-rank potions that massively improve combat performance.

If you are crafting strong elemental potions, refining them is completely worth the extra effort.

Best Stats to Upgrade

Whenever you level up, you earn stat points.

According to most experienced players, the strongest build right now focuses mainly on:

  • Attack
  • Cooldown Reduction

The idea is simple:

If enemies die instantly, you do not really need huge amounts of health.

High attack lets you clear enemies quickly, while cooldown reduction allows you to spam abilities more often.

That said, if you personally struggle surviving fights, adding some health is perfectly fine while learning the game.

Ascending Is Extremely Important

A lot of beginners accidentally delay their progression because they forget to Ascend.

Ascending increases:

  • Level cap
  • XP gain
  • Overall progression speed

If you ignore Ascension for too long, leveling becomes painfully slow later on.

Always keep enough money saved so you can ascend whenever possible.

Learn How to Parry Early

Parrying is one of the most important combat mechanics in the game.

When you see the red attack indicator appear, press:

  • F to Parry

Timing matters a lot here.

Successful parries help you survive against powerful enemies like:

  • Dwarf King
  • Elite Archers
  • Mutant enemies

At first the timing feels difficult, but once you get comfortable with it, combat becomes much easier.

Players who never learn parrying usually struggle badly against stronger enemies.
