The newest Sailor Piece update added two secret race evolutions, and one of the hardest to unlock right now is Archangel. A lot of players are trying to evolve into it because of its powerful abilities and unique appearance, but the questline is much more complicated than most people expected.
The game gives very little information about the requirements, which is why many players end up farming the wrong things or missing important steps entirely. If you want to unlock Archangel without wasting hours, this guide covers everything you need to know in a much easier way.
Sailor Piece Archangel Race Guide – How to Obtain Race
Before starting the evolution process, you must already have Angel race active.
This part is extremely important because the game only tracks progression while Angel race is equipped. Even if you complete objectives correctly, nothing will count if you accidentally switch races midway through the grind.
Before starting the questline:
- Equip Angel race
- Check your race before farming bosses
- Avoid rerolling until the evolution is finished
Once that is done, you can begin searching for the Archangel quest NPC connected to the new Sea 2 content.
Where to Start the Archangel Quest
The exact NPC location was originally unclear because the update first appeared on testing servers, but the evolution NPC is tied to the newer islands added in the recent update.
After finding the correct NPC, you will unlock a set of missions known as the Divine Trials. Completing every trial is required before you can evolve into Archangel.
Divine Trial 1: Obtain Five Rare Secret Drops
The first Divine Trial is heavily luck-based and can take some time depending on your RNG.
You need to collect:
Five secret drops while using Angel race
The game counts several rare rewards as secret drops, including:
- Aura crates
- Cosmetic crates
- Secret chests
- Similar rare loot rewards
Because these drops are random, some players finish this quickly while others may need to grind for a while.
Best Way to Farm Secret Drops Faster
To speed up this trial as much as possible:
- Use any available luck boosts
- Farm bosses with good loot pools
- Join active servers with constant events
- Equip relics that improve drops
Luck plays a massive role here, so boosting your drop rate can save a huge amount of grinding time.
Divine Trial 2: Find the Four Hidden Halos
The second trial changes things up and focuses more on exploration.
You need to locate four hidden halos scattered around the world.
The halos are:
- Humility
- Kindness
- Temperance
- Self-Respect
You can collect them in any order, so there is no strict route you need to follow.
The NPC will also track your progress and show which halos are still missing, which makes things a little easier.
Tips for Finding the Hidden Halos
Most hidden collectibles in Sailor Piece are placed in difficult locations, so searching carefully is important.
Good places to check include:
- Rooftops
- Hidden caves
- Cliff edges
- Secret rooms
- Areas behind structures
Movement abilities and fast boats can help a lot during this part of the grind.
Divine Trial 3: Obtain Three Boss Halos
The third Divine Trial is the hardest section because it requires several RNG boss drops.
You must collect three special halos dropped by different bosses across the game.
Patience Halo
Dropped from:
- Atomic Boss
- Strongest Shinobi Boss
Charity Halo
Dropped from:
- Cosmic Being
- Sun Incarnate
This halo appears to have slightly better drop rates compared to the others.
Diligence Halo
Dropped from:
- Spirit Warrior
- World Boss
Since these are rare drops, farming efficiently becomes very important.
Use Luck Boosts During Boss Farming
If you have:
- 2x Luck boosts
- drop-rate relics
- event bonuses
- farming buffs
this is the time to use them.
Without boosts, the halo farming section can become extremely slow depending on your luck.
Server hopping is also useful because it helps you find bosses faster instead of waiting for long respawn timers.
Unlocking the Archangel Race
Once every Divine Trial is completed, return to the quest NPC while still using Angel race.
After speaking to the NPC again, your character will evolve into:
Archangel
You only need to finish the full questline once to permanently unlock access to the race.
You Can Recover Archangel Later
One helpful feature is that you do not need to repeat the entire grind if you lose Archangel later.
If you reroll races or switch away from it accidentally:
- Equip Angel race again
- Return to the NPC
- Talk to them once more
The NPC will immediately restore Archangel without forcing you to redo the Divine Trials.
Fastest Progression Route
If you want the quickest possible evolution route, this order works very well:
- Equip Angel race first
- Farm the five secret drops
- Use luck boosts for boss grinding
- Search for halos while bosses respawn
- Server hop for faster boss farming
- Finish all halo drops before returning to the NPC
Following this path helps avoid wasted time and keeps progression smooth.
