Alright, before we even jump into rankings… let’s just say it how it is — talents in Paradox can make or break your build. You can have a top-tier Shikai, clean combos, everything… but if your talent setup is bad, you’ll still get rolled.
And since rolling talents is basically an RNG grind (or Robux if you’re that guy), you really don’t want to waste your spins. So let’s go through what’s actually worth it — properly.
S-Tier Talents
These are the talents that instantly improve your gameplay, no matter what build you’re running.
Master of Speed
This is one of those talents that works on literally everything.
- Extra Flash Step
- Faster Flash Step regeneration
- Huge mobility boost
Mobility in Paradox = survival + pressure.
Whether you’re chasing or escaping, this talent is always useful. Early game, late game, PvP, PvE — doesn’t matter. It never falls off.
Ultra Ego
This one is pure aggression.
- Gain stacking damage (up to 10%)
- Works as long as you don’t get hit
If you’re confident in your dodging and combos, this talent feels insane.
But yeah… one mistake and you lose momentum.
High skill, high reward.
(The Data Talent – Crit Flash Step Reset)
This one is honestly broken if you understand tempo.
- Weapon crit refreshes Flash Step
- Lets you stay glued to enemies
- Constant pressure + escape option
You basically never run out of movement if you’re playing well. That’s huge in PvP.
Unrelenting Impact
Probably the most underrated S-tier pick.
- Removes enemy damage reduction
- Makes tanky players suddenly… not tanky
If you’ve ever struggled against defensive builds, this completely flips the fight.
No real downside. Just pure value.
A-Tier Talents
These are powerful, but depend on your playstyle or skill.
Angry Step
- Perfect dodge → next attack gets +10% damage
Sounds great… but timing matters.
If your ping is bad or your reactions aren’t sharp, this becomes frustrating fast.
If you’re good? It feels really clean.
Searing Blow
Finally, something that punishes those players who just hold block all day.
- Guard break damage is massively increased
Perfect against defensive players (“turtles”).
Not always needed, but when it works, it really works.
B-Tier Talents
These are fine early on but shouldn’t be your endgame goal.
Health Proficiency
- Faster healing out of combat
Helpful early game, but useless in actual fights.
You’ll replace this eventually.
Critical Hit Talent
- 5% chance to deal double damage
It’s fun when it procs… but you can’t rely on it.
And in Paradox, consistency > luck.
C-Tier Talents
These might sound interesting, but they hurt more than they help.
Exoskeleton
- You die in a fixed number of hits
Only useful in very niche situations.
In PvP? You get destroyed by fast combos.
Reverse Induction
- +10% damage to NPCs
- -10% damage to players
That PvP penalty alone makes this a bad choice.
You never want a permanent disadvantage.
Scaredy Cat
- Combat tag ends faster
This is basically a “run away” talent.
No damage. No pressure. No value in real fights.
