This update in Dusty Trip actually changes more than it looks at first glance. It’s not just “new stuff added” — some core systems got reworked, and if you don’t understand them early, you’ll end up wasting time (especially with the free car quest).

Let me walk you through everything in a simple, no-BS way so you know exactly what to do the moment you log in.

New Shop System (Dealership Removed)

First big change — the dealership is gone.

Now everything is handled through a shop UI (shopping cart icon).

What’s different?

  • You can browse cars directly from the menu
  • Categories on the left make navigation faster
  • No need to physically go somewhere to buy vehicles

What this means for you

Honestly, this is just a quality-of-life upgrade. It saves time and removes unnecessary travel.

If you were used to the dealership, it’ll feel weird for a bit — but it’s way more efficient.

Free Car Quest (This Week’s Challenge)

This is the main thing you should focus on.

Requirements:

  • Collect 5 cooked sausages
  • Kill 5 vultures
  • Kill 5 fire mutants

Complete all three → you unlock the free car

How to Complete Each Task Faster

1. Cooked Sausages (Important Tip)

You’ll find sausages in two forms:

  • Raw sausage → gives poison effect
  • Cooked sausage → counts for quest + restores hunger

Do NOT eat raw sausages unless you want poison damage ticking your health down.

Cook them first, then collect/eat.

2. Vultures

These are easier than they sound.

  • Found near landmarks (especially the new mansion area)
  • Usually flying around open areas
  • Use ranged or quick melee attacks

They’re not very tanky — just annoying if you miss hits.

3. Fire Mutants (New Enemy)

These are the real threat in this update.

What makes them dangerous:

  • Apply burn effect
  • Damage continues over time after getting hit

So even if you survive the fight, your health keeps dropping.

New Weapon – Cleaver

This update also adds a cleaver, and it’s actually pretty strong.

How it works:

  • High damage output
  • Uses stamina per swing
  • Can be spammed… until stamina runs out

Strategy:

  • Burst attack enemies quickly
  • Don’t spam blindly — stamina drain will leave you vulnerable

New Status Effects (Pay Attention)

Two new effects got added:

Burn (from Fire Mutants)

  • Gradual health drain
  • Happens after getting hit

Poison (from raw food)

  • Triggered by eating raw meat
  • Also drains health over time

Simple rule:

  • Avoid getting hit unnecessarily
  • Don’t eat raw food unless desperate

New Landmarks (Best Farming Spots)

1. Mansion (Very Important)

This is where you should spend most of your time.

  • Spawns animals like:
    • Wolves
    • Snakes
    • Vultures
  • Helps complete quest requirements faster
  • Contains a puzzle system (animal-based)

If you’re grinding the free car, this is your go-to location.

2. Wolf Den

  • Found randomly along roads
  • Contains basic loot
  • Not very important overall

Think of it as a small bonus stop, not a main destination.

New Tutorial System (Mixed Feelings)

The tutorial got reworked.

Improvements:

  • Now guides you step-by-step
  • Highlights car parts
  • Makes early game easier for beginners

Problem:

  • It keeps showing up every time you join

Yeah… this part is honestly annoying.

Free Car Performance (Is It Worth It?)

Once you finish the quest, you get a 4-seater car.

Here’s how it performs:

Pros:

  • Good braking (stops quickly)
  • Decent fuel efficiency
  • Stable handling

Cons:

  • Slow acceleration
  • Top speed ~58 km/h (not very fast)

Verdict:

It’s not a speed beast — but it’s reliable.

Good for:

  • Early to mid-game travel
  • Carrying multiple players

Not great if you want speed runs.

Fuel Consumption (Quick Insight)

Test results:

  • Used ~0.3 liters per 1000m
  • Pretty efficient overall

So you won’t be burning fuel too quickly, which is nice.
