If you’ve started building teams in Last Asylum Plague, you’ve probably noticed something interesting. At first glance many heroes look similar because their attack, defense, and HP eventually scale close to each other. This can make it seem like most heroes perform the same once you upgrade them.

In reality, that’s not how the game works.

The biggest difference between heroes comes from their skills and role synergy. Some heroes protect the entire team, some deal devastating burst damage, while others quietly boost your squad’s performance through buffs or healing.

This guide breaks down the best UR and SSR heroes, explaining what they actually bring to your team and why they deserve their tier placement. Think of it less like a rigid ranking chart and more like practical advice from someone who has spent time analyzing how each hero performs in real fights.

Last Asylum Plague Best Heroes Tier List Guide (SSR & UR)

Before diving into the tier list, it helps to understand the roles heroes play. Your squad works best when roles complement each other.

Tanks exist to stay alive and protect everyone else. They usually have higher HP and defensive skills that reduce incoming damage or provide shields.

Carry heroes are your main damage dealers. Their goal is simple: eliminate enemies as quickly as possible. They often sacrifice defense for higher attack power.

Support heroes focus on helping the team rather than dealing damage. Their abilities might boost attack, heal allies, or increase damage against monsters.

A strong team normally combines one tank, one or two carries, and a support hero. Once you understand this balance, the tier list below makes much more sense.

S Tier Heroes

These heroes sit at the top because their abilities provide massive impact during fights. If you pull one of them early, it’s usually worth investing resources into them.

Arthur

Arthur stands out as one of the strongest frontline heroes currently available. While many tanks simply soak damage, Arthur actually improves the survivability of the entire team.

His abilities revolve around defensive protection. One of his skills creates a shield based on his maximum HP, which absorbs a portion of incoming damage for several seconds. Since tanks typically have the highest health in the team, this shield becomes very effective during intense fights.

His ultimate attack slams the ground with his shield, dealing area damage while also reducing physical damage taken by nearby allies. This means that even when enemies hit hard, Arthur helps keep the whole squad alive.

Another reason Arthur performs so well is his passive ability, which reduces damage taken by other tank heroes. While that may sound small, it adds up significantly during longer battles.

Because of his high durability and strong defensive utility, Arthur works perfectly as the main frontline protector for almost any team composition.

Marina

Marina earns her place in the S tier mainly because of how well her damage scales as she levels up. Her attack scaling is extremely high compared to most other heroes, which means her damage increases rapidly once she starts gaining levels and upgrades.

Her ultimate ability is especially powerful because it releases several sword winds that strike random enemies, allowing her to damage multiple targets in quick succession. This makes her effective not only against bosses but also against groups of enemies.

Another important part of her kit is her passive ability, which increases the amount of energy damage she deals. This boosts the effectiveness of nearly every attack she performs during battle.

She also benefits from personal buffs that increase her stats and reduce skill cooldown times slightly. Because of this, she can attack more frequently than many other damage-focused heroes.

When Marina is fully upgraded, she becomes extremely dangerous in combat. With a strong tank protecting her in the front line, she can easily shred bosses and clear waves of enemies without much difficulty.

A Tier Heroes

These heroes might not completely dominate the battlefield like S-tier units, but they are still very reliable and valuable additions to most teams.

Bella – Solid Defensive Tank

Bella plays a role similar to Arthur, but with slightly less defensive impact overall.

Her abilities include attacks that reduce enemy attack power and decrease the damage she receives. This allows her to survive longer while weakening enemies at the same time.

Her ultimate skill deals strong damage to a single enemy while also applying attack reduction effects, which can be surprisingly useful during boss encounters.

While Bella doesn’t offer the same team-wide protection as Arthur, she is still a dependable tank that can hold the frontline effectively.

Grenwald

Grenwald is a classic glass cannon hero. His attack power is extremely high, but his defense and HP are relatively low.

His spells deal heavy magical damage, including abilities that hit multiple enemies within range. One of his skills summons spirits that attack enemies, adding extra burst damage during combat.

He also has a passive ability that increases damage dealt to monsters, which makes him particularly useful in PvE modes where enemies have large health pools.

When paired with a durable tank like Arthur, Grenwald can safely stay behind the front line and deal consistent damage.

Stellar

Stellar brings something many teams desperately need: support utility.

Her abilities include ranged attacks that deal moderate damage, but the real highlight comes from her team-support mechanics.

Her ultimate increases the damage allies deal to monsters within range, making the entire team stronger for several seconds.

Another unique ability triggers when Stellar is defeated. At that moment, she heals the ally with the lowest HP based on her attack power. This can sometimes save an important damage dealer at the last moment.

While her raw stats are not particularly impressive, the combination of buffs and healing effects makes her a useful support character.

Claire

Claire performs well as a carry hero focused on burst damage.

One of her abilities unleashes multiple rapid attacks against a single target. When all the hits connect, the total damage becomes extremely high, making her particularly effective against bosses.

Her ultimate deals area damage to enemies nearby, giving her some flexibility when facing groups.

Claire also provides a passive buff that increases damage dealt by the three warrior heroes with the highest attack in your squad. This can significantly improve overall team damage if your lineup includes several warrior characters.

Because of her strong damage potential and useful passive effects, Claire fits comfortably in the A tier.

Griffith

Griffith is a ranged tank, which is already a bit unusual compared to most frontline heroes.

His abilities involve summoning a spirit snake that deals heavy damage to enemies. One of his attacks can deal surprisingly high single-target damage, which is not something tanks usually excel at.

His ultimate skill reduces monster damage taken by allied heroes in the area, providing a defensive boost during dangerous fights.

While he may not be the strongest tank overall, Griffith offers a nice mix of offense and defense that makes him very reliable.

Bestar

Bestar’s playstyle revolves around bleed effects.

She can summon a black cat that damages enemies and applies bleed damage over time. While the immediate damage might not seem huge, the bleeding effect continues dealing damage every second.

Her ultimate attack deals area damage and applies bleed effects to multiple enemies at once, which can quickly drain enemy health bars during extended fights.

She also has a passive ability that increases the damage dealt to bleeding enemies, allowing her to stack even more damage once the effect is applied.

Because of this synergy, Bestar becomes much stronger in longer battles.

B Tier Heroes

These heroes are usable, but they may struggle to compete with stronger options in higher difficulty content.

Celia

Celia offers some supportive mechanics, but her abilities are mostly focused on dealing small amounts of damage rather than strengthening the team.

She can throw daggers that hit random enemies and deal moderate damage. However, most of her skills lack strong support effects compared to other characters in her role.

Because of this, Celia works best as a temporary option until stronger support heroes become available.

Ash

Ash has respectable stats for a damage dealer, but her skill set holds her back slightly.

Her attacks involve shooting arrows that hit one or two enemies at a time. While the damage can add up, her ultimate ability surprisingly deals less total damage than one of her earlier skills.

This makes her ultimate feel underwhelming compared to other carry heroes.

Ash can still contribute decent damage early in the game, but she eventually falls behind stronger damage dealers.

Kesso

Kesso focuses on throwing spears and summoning a war eagle that fights alongside him.

While his abilities deal respectable damage, they don’t scale as aggressively as other carry heroes.

His passive ability increases attack when his HP drops below a certain threshold, which can provide a temporary damage spike. However, relying on low health conditions can sometimes be risky.

Overall, Kesso is usable but not particularly exceptional.

Lucius

Lucius has the stats expected from a tank, but his abilities focus mostly on attacking rather than protecting the team.

Several of his skills deal single-target damage, which isn’t usually what tanks specialize in.

His only defensive passive reduces damage taken from monsters, which is helpful but not enough to elevate him into higher tiers.

Because of this, Lucius often feels less impactful than other tanks.

Severe

Severe provides decent offensive abilities and a passive attack increase during combat.

She can attack multiple enemies and deal respectable damage, but none of her skills stand out as particularly powerful compared to higher-tier carries.

She performs adequately in most situations but rarely becomes the main star of the team.

The best teams in Last Asylum: Plague usually combine strong defense with high damage output.

A common strategy is to place Arthur or another durable tank in the front, while powerful damage dealers like Marina or Grenwald attack safely from behind. Adding a support hero such as Stellar can further boost the team’s performance and survivability.

Since equipment, star upgrades, and skills greatly affect hero strength, even mid-tier characters can perform well if built properly. However, investing in top-tier heroes will usually provide the best long-term results.

If you’re lucky enough to obtain one of the UR heroes early, building your team around them can make progression significantly easier.
