If you’re trying to build a strong team in Heaven Hells, understanding which units are worth investing in makes a huge difference. Some characters provide massive damage, others support the entire team with buffs or healing, and a few are only useful early in the game.

This tier list explains which units are currently strongest, how their abilities work, and where they fit in team compositions.

Heaven Hells Tier List – Best Units Ranked

Before getting into the main tier list, it’s worth mentioning the R and SR units.

These characters are mostly early-game placeholders. You can max awaken them quickly, which makes them decent while you’re still building your roster. However, once stronger characters appear, most players replace them.

There are a couple of exceptions.

Momokko is one of the few SR units worth keeping around for a while. She can:

  • Buff the highest attack ally
  • Heal teammates
  • Remove debuffs

That combination gives her solid support value early in the game.

Another useful SR option is Subasa, who improves damage triangle bonuses and reduces enemy defense while applying poison.

Even though they’re not endgame units, they can carry you through early progression.

SSS Tier

These characters dominate the meta and provide incredible value in almost any team.

Katya

Katya is one of the strongest support units in the game.

She increases critical rate for Illumin faction allies, which can boost the entire team if you’re running a full Illumin setup. On top of that, she inflicts shock and massively increases soul recovery rate for allies.

Faster soul recovery means your team can activate abilities much more often, which dramatically increases total damage output.

Ayuri

Ayuri is a powerful hybrid support unit.

Her abilities provide:

  • Defense buffs for melee allies
  • Defense penetration boosts for your strongest attacker
  • Healing fields that restore HP over time

She also deals damage over time to enemies while healing teammates, which makes her extremely valuable in longer fights.

Kuru

Kuru is one of the strongest damage dealers in Heaven Hells.

Her abilities allow her to:

  • Inflict the curse debuff
  • Reduce enemy defense significantly
  • Increase her own defense penetration

These mechanics make her extremely effective against tanky enemies.

Freya

Freya is considered one of the best DPS units in the game.

She works especially well with Kuru because she deals extra damage to enemies affected by curse.

Her abilities increase:

  • Attack speed
  • Critical rate
  • Basic attack damage against cursed enemies

When paired with Kuru, Freya becomes an absolute damage monster.

SS Tier

These characters are still top-tier and can easily carry teams.

Arena

Arena excels at stacking offensive buffs.

Her abilities increase her attack and critical rate, especially when landing critical hits. She also deals extra damage to enemies that are burning.

Because her buffs chain together, her damage can scale extremely quickly during battles.

Eno

Eno is a strong tank-support hybrid.

She can increase her own HP and defense while also reducing enemy attack. In addition, she creates a damage reduction field that lowers damage taken by allies.

This makes her extremely valuable for keeping your team alive in difficult encounters.

Serakica

Serakica is unique because she can both inflict shock and deal extra damage to shocked enemies.

She also increases attack speed for allies after applying shock. This combination makes her a powerful offensive support.

Azusa

Azusa specializes in skill cycling.

Her abilities reduce cooldowns while applying bleed effects to enemies. She also increases her own attack power when using her unique skill, allowing her to scale into strong damage output.

Mkazume

Mkazume is built around critical damage.

She boosts her crit damage and can increase her crit rate, allowing her to consistently trigger powerful attacks. When enemies are affected by frostbite, her basic attacks become even stronger.

Owie

Owie is a strong sustain damage dealer.

She gains life steal after using unique skills and deals extra damage on critical hits. She also regenerates souls when hitting shocked enemies, allowing for faster ability usage.

Sarah

Sarah is one of the strongest healers available.

Her abilities provide:

  • Large defense boosts
  • Extra damage based on defense
  • A life steal field that allows allies to recover HP

This makes her extremely useful in survival-heavy fights.

S Tier

These units perform well but may require specific team setups.

Ena

Ena performs extremely well against Ignia-type enemies, dealing extra damage and applying frostbite.

In those specific battles she can perform at SS-tier levels, but outside those situations she sits comfortably in S tier.

Sumugi

Sumugi focuses on poison synergy.

She deals extra damage to Glacia enemies and can apply poison effects that allow other abilities to deal increased damage.

Misha

Misha is built around attack speed.

Her abilities apply burn effects and increase attack speed multiple times, making her a reliable damage dealer for fast-paced combat.

Kanoko

Kanoko focuses on critical damage.

She can increase her own attack and significantly boost crit damage, making her powerful if you build enough critical rate on her.

Yamir

Yamir works best in teams built around frostbite effects.

She increases her crit rate and can deal extra damage with abilities while recovering souls when attacking frostbitten enemies.

A Tier

Lemon

Lemon performs well against Glacia enemies, dealing significantly increased damage in those fights.

However, outside those specific matchups, she doesn’t stand out as much as higher-tier units.

B Tier

These units have niche roles but aren’t commonly used in strong team builds.

Ura

Ura focuses on melee teams by increasing HP and creating barriers for melee allies. However, her abilities require very specific team compositions to be effective.

Tomminina

Tomminina provides barriers and some melee buffs, but her overall impact on combat is limited compared to stronger support units.

The current Heaven Hells meta revolves around strong debuff combinations and synergy between units.

Some of the most powerful team strategies involve pairing units like Kuru and Freya or building around strong supports like Katya and Ayuri.

While early-game units can help you progress, focusing your resources on SSS and SS tier characters will make the biggest difference as the game becomes more challenging.
