Update 4 is one of the biggest meta shifts Anime Crusaders has had so far. With the Dragon Ball Z roster joining the game, unit value is no longer just about raw DPS. Placement type, role coverage, and late-game scaling matter more than ever.
This guide ranks all important units from Farm to Hybrid, explaining why they are strong and where they fit best.
Farm Units Tier
Farm units are not damage dealers. Their only job is to fund your real carries, and skipping them will ruin your run no matter how strong your DPS is.
Lloyd
Best early-game farm. Cheap, easy to place, and perfect for new players or fast starts.
Speed Cart
Stronger income speed than Lloyd. Best in modes where early upgrades matter more than long-term scaling.
Bulma
The premium farm unit. Higher cost, but the strongest long-term value in the game. Most late-game teams assume Bulma is present.
If you are new, Lloyd or Speed Cart is enough. For endgame, Bulma is mandatory.
Meta Support Units
Support units don’t win by damage. They win by enabling everyone else.
Top-tier supports:
- Golden Experience
- Mr. Champion
- User Goddess
These units provide buffs, slows, debuffs, and time-stop effects that allow DPS units to reach their full potential. You never want to stack too many supports, but one or two correctly chosen supports can turn an average team into a top-tier setup.
Support units matter most in Infinite Mode and long boss waves.
Meta Hill Units
Hill units are about stability, not burst. They don’t spike early, but they never fall off.
Top hill-tier units:

- Shrine
- Golden Spirit
- Goko
- Call (Android 21 variant)
If your team lacks hill damage, Infinite Mode becomes extremely difficult regardless of how strong your ground units are.
Meta Ground Units
Ground units handle bosses, elites, and high-HP threats. Every serious team needs at least one.
Top ground-tier units:
- Sin 7
- Yorini
- Maki
- Ishiga
- Whitebeard
- Gojo
- Gear 5 Luffy
These units bring raw damage and strong scaling. If you are pushing difficult content, skipping a strong ground unit is a mistake.
Hybrid Units
Hybrid units define the Update 4 meta.
They can be placed on both ground and hill, meaning:
- No map restrictions
- No positioning weaknesses
- Works in every mode

Vegito immediately enters the top meta tier. With massive DPS, strong range, and hybrid placement, he fits into any team and any map. If you own Vegito, you should be building around him.
