Brine Storms are a special weather-based event in Fisch that many players struggle to trigger because the game never clearly explains the conditions. If you’ve been fishing for hours with nothing happening, you’re probably missing one key requirement.
This guide explains exactly how to spawn a Brine Storm, where to go, and what to do if it doesn’t start immediately.
Step 1: Go to the Brine Pool (Required)
Brine Storms only happen in one location.
To reach the Brine Pool:
- Move forward through the path leading away from spawn
- Follow the tunnel-like route
- Head upward until you reach the Brine Pool area
If you are not physically inside the Brine Pool, a Brine Storm will never activate.
Step 2: Understand the Main Requirement – Rain
Brine Storms can only occur during rainfall.
- No rain = no Brine Storm
- Clear weather = nothing will happen
Rain is the trigger condition, but rain alone does not guarantee the storm.
Step 3: Use a Tempest Totem to Make It Rain
The easiest way to force rain is by using a Tempest Totem.
- Tempest Totems create rainfall
- During rain, Brine Storms have a high chance to spawn
- The chance is not guaranteed
Use the Tempest Totem while standing in or near the Brine Pool.
Step 4: If It Doesn’t Spawn, Rotate Time (ImportantTrick)
If rain starts but the Brine Storm does not appear, do not panic. This is normal.
Here’s what to do:
- Use a Sundial Totem to change the time of day
- Switch between day and night while it is raining
- Re-use a Tempest Totem if rain stops
- Repeat the cycle
This rotation greatly increases the chance of triggering a Brine Storm.
Step 5: Be Patient (It’s RNG-Based)
Even with correct setup:
- Brine Storms are chance-based
- They may take multiple attempts
- They can occur during rainy day or rainy night
Keep rotating:
- Tempest Totem → Sundial Totem → Wait
Eventually, the Brine Storm will spawn.
What to Do Once the Brine Storm Starts
When the Brine Storm activates:
- Stay inside the Brine Pool
- Start fishing immediately
- You can now catch new Beastiary fish exclusive to Brine Storms
Fishing before the storm fully starts will not give Brine Storm fish.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Trying to spawn Brine Storms outside the Brine Pool
- Using Tempest Totem once and giving up
- Forgetting to change time with Sundial Totems
- Fishing without rain active
Once you understand that Brine Storms depend on rain + location + patience, spawning them becomes much easier. Keep trying, and the storm will eventually appear.
