This update is all about smoothing the experience rather than adding flashy new power moves. The focus is clearer controls, better quest flow, improved loading, and meaningful balance changes that make matches feel fairer. Nothing here is purely cosmetic, every change affects how the game actually plays day to day.
AZURE LATCH QOL UPDATE – BRITISH AIKU QUEST, CODES
If you have ever felt frustrated by long quests, clunky loading, or unfair stuns, this update directly addresses those pain points.
BRITISH AIKU QUEST – FINALLY FLEXIBLE
The new British Aiku quest has two stages, split between Sae and Aiku, but the smartest part is that both stages are skippable.
You are no longer forced to grind through content you dislike just to unlock things. If you want to experience the story, you can play it normally, and if you just want rewards, you can toggle and move on.
There is also a dedicated setting to turn this quest on or off, which is perfect for players who prefer clean gameplay without scripted interruptions.
NEW DUB VOICELINES GAMEPASS
A brand-new gamepass introduces dubbed voice lines, starting with Rin and Sae.
This is not a one-time addition, more characters will receive dubbed lines in future updates. There is also a toggle so you can switch between original and dubbed audio at any time.
If you care about immersion or content creation, this is a big upgrade, especially for videos and clips.
NEW EMOTES COLLECTION
Six new emotes were added to expand player expression:
ReleaseTheGhouls
Lagtrain
Crusader
Vampiric
BreakdancingQueen
Liar
These are clearly designed for roleplay, trolling, celebrations, and post-goal moments. Expect to see BreakdancingQueen after every clutch goal.
GOALKEEPER BALANCE CHANGES
Goalkeepers now need three saves instead of two to earn an MVP point. This makes MVP harder to farm just by standing in goal and getting lucky saves.
Goalkeepers also can no longer header the ball unless they were the last person to touch it. This prevents abusive defensive plays where GKs could interrupt attacks unrealistically.
Overall, this makes goalkeeper gameplay more skill-based and less cheesy.
CHIGIRI ANIMATION FIX
Two missing rigs from Golden Zone’s animation were added back in.
This is not flashy, but it makes Chigiri look smoother, cleaner, and more polished in high-speed situations.
SAE AUTOGOAL UPDATE
Sae now has a proper goalkeeper animation when scoring an autogoal.
It sounds minor, but it removes awkward visual bugs and makes those moments feel intentional rather than glitchy.
KUNIGAMI NERFS – FAIRER COMBAT
Hero’s Instinct can no longer hit players who are already stunned, which prevents stun chaining.
If Kunigami runs into a player without the ball, the stun duration is now 0.5 seconds shorter.
The cooldown of Hero’s Instinct was increased by five seconds, reducing spam potential.
Heroic Clash also can no longer hit already stunned players.
These changes do not ruin Kunigami, but they stop him from being oppressive and unfair in team fights.
LOADING SYSTEM REWORK
The loading system was updated and is now faster for many players.
There is now a recommended skip option for lower-end devices if the loading screen crashes.
New sound effects were added to the loading screen, making it feel less dead and more immersive.
MODIFIED VOICELINES SETTING
A new toggle lets you adjust modified voice lines separately from other audio settings.
This gives players more control over how the game sounds instead of forcing one universal audio style.
DUO MVP CHANGE
You can now deselect your duo MVP friend, giving you more freedom in matchmaking and celebrations.
You are no longer locked into someone permanently.
COMBAT AND INPUT FIXES
NEL Isagi’s 5 is no longer movestackable, which removes an exploit that some players abused.
M1 animations now cancel properly when you perform a move, making combat feel more responsive and less stiff.
WHAT THIS UPDATE MEANS FOR YOU
If you are competitive, you will notice smoother fights, fairer stuns, and better goalkeeper rules.
If you are casual, the skippable Aiku quest and faster loading will make the game feel much more enjoyable.
If you are a content creator, the new emotes and dub voice lines are perfect for clips and edits.
FINAL TAKE
Azure Latch is not about hype, it is about refinement. The game feels cleaner, faster, and more balanced, which is exactly what a strong QOL update should do.
