Choosing the CCG path is choosing structure, power, and long-term dominance. CCG players scale extremely hard in late game, but only if you follow the correct progression path. If you skip steps or farm the wrong content, your account will feel weak for a very long time.
Tokyo RE CCG Progression Guide – CCG Exam passing Tips
This guide shows the correct route from day one to Quinque mastery.
Joining the CCG
Start as Human.
Go to the red-lit CCG building and enter through the metal detectors.
Inside, buy a job application from the front desk NPC.
Leave the building, fill the form, then return.
After a short wait, the barricade will open — you are now a CCG recruit.
Your First Objective – Workplace Tasks
Take the elevator to the office workspace.
Speak to the supervisor and choose between:
Desk paperwork
Or field missions
Do the desk paperwork.
It is faster, safer, and much more consistent early game.
Buy food and water from the cafeteria before starting — hunger and thirst will slow you down.
Complete paperwork until you finish the task requirement.
Passing the CCG Exam
After finishing your tasks, speak to the instructor NPC.
He will give you an exam.
The exam is basic Tokyo Ghoul lore and logic questions.
Pass it and you are promoted.
Unlocking Your First Quinque
Head to the Research & Development floor.
Speak to the R&D NPC.
Choose your first Quinque.
You now have access to real CCG combat.
To equip:
Hold your CCG case
Right click for armor
Left click to deploy your Quinque
Crafting and Upgrading Quinques
Buy Surgical Kits from the R&D NPC.
These give crafting materials.
Find Data Drives from chests to unlock blueprints.
Payload truck events also give materials for advanced Quinques.
Quinques lose power over time.
You must sharpen them using RC Alloy earned through specific quests.
Best Early Money Farming Method
Punch vending machines.
They drop money and are faster than missions for early cash.
Use this money for:
Food
Weapon upgrades
Surgical kits
Skill unlocks
Stats and Skill Setup
Press L to invest stat points.
Your stat path defines your Quinque style.
Press M to equip skills and abilities.
Never leave stat points unused — ranking up requires them to be spent.
Promotion & Rank Progression
To rank up:
Max Rank XP
Spend all stat points
Collect five Rank Grips
Early ranks allow grips through missions.
Higher ranks require PvP grips during PD events.
CCG progression rewards patience.
Do not rush into PvP without a Quinque.
Do not skip paperwork tasks.
Do not ignore weapon upgrades.
Once your Quinque is sharpened and your skills are unlocked, CCG becomes one of the strongest and cleanest playstyles in Tokyo:RE.
