This Jump Showdown Godly Highschooler Update is one of the largest Jump Showdown has ever received, introducing new playable characters, early-access fighters, sub-characters, massive emote expansions, new systems, balancing changes, and long-requested quality-of-life improvements. Below is a complete breakdown of everything added and changed, explained clearly and in detail.

Godly Highschooler – Fully Released

Godly Highschooler is now officially released with a full kit, polish, and finishers.

What’s new:

  • Brand-new spawn animation
  • New passive: Pressure Points

New finishers for:

  • Whirlwind Slam
  • Dragon Dropkick
  • Triple Kick Counter

Ultimate renamed to Heaven’s Equal

Full Ultimate moveset:

  • Orbit Breaker
  • Godlike Clash
  • Heaven Piercer
  • Azure Dragon Kick

Several bugs tied to Godly Highschooler were also fixed, including wall combo issues and M1 reset exploits during awakening.

New Early Access Character – Short Alchemist

Short Alchemist enters Early Access with a compact but unique kit.

Key features:

  • Full character info added
  • Unique animations
  • Two core moves:
    • Reconstruction (also has an aerial version)
    • Slugger

This character focuses on quick utility and compact combos rather than long chains.

New Early Access Character – Edgerunner

Edgerunner is another Early Access addition with a high-risk, high-reward playstyle.

Key features:

  • Unique animations
  • New passive: Sandevistan
  • Can be activated when an opponent is stunned
  • Slows time dramatically
  • Requires cooldown between uses
  • Overuse may cause hallucinations and system failure

Two moves:

  • Adrenal Bash
  • Servo Cannon

This character rewards precision and timing rather than button mashing.

New Sub-Character – Silk Weaver

Silk Weaver is a highly technical sub-character built around mobility, resource management, and sustain.

Passives:

Swift Lethality

Double jump with a 6-second cooldown

Airborne M1 enables a dive attack

Dive can chain up to 3 times (8s cooldown)

Silk Meter

All moves consume Silk

Silk is restored through M1s

Silk passively regenerates up to 3

Bind

Consume 9 Silk to heal 25% HP

Natural HP regeneration is disabled

Base moveset:

  • Harpoon (Aerial + Finisher variants)
  • Thread Storm (Aerial + Finisher variants)
  • Pale Nails
  • Cross Stitch

Ultimate is currently a work-in-progress and heals 50% HP for now.

Cursed Child Updates

Cursed Child received polish and finishers:

Updated character info

New finishers for:

  • Bloody Mary
  • Fight

Living Blade Visual Update

  • Improved Wall Combo VFX, making hits clearer and more impactful visually

Massive Emote Expansion

This update adds one of the biggest emote drops so far.

Emotes added:

  • 32 new emotes
  • 3 Limited-Time Emotes
    • Love Train (returning)
    • Chainsaw Heart

Private Servers now include:

Updated item and spawner modifiers

Skill Builder

Character Builder

Updated block systems:

  • Modifier blocks now fully functional
  • New pushback, domain effect, and crater blocks
  • Most existing blocks updated and improved

These tools greatly expand creative and testing options.

Balancing Changes

Notable balance adjustments:

  • Starflare windup increased, stun decreased
  • Solar Vision damage nerfed and now ragdolls
  • Unsealed Sorcerer wall combo knockback increased
  • Lapse Blue/Kick cooldown increased from 18s to 22s
  • Kick no longer hits grounded opponents
  • Wailing Fang is now evadable
  • Whirlwind Slam extender damage reduced from 7% to 6.5%
  • Patched M1 reset exploit on Godly Highschooler awakening

Bug Fixes & Quality of Life Improvements

Major fixes include:

  • Trees and pillars now knock players off properly
  • Godly Highschooler wall combo now kills correctly
  • Disabled One Last Play when dying to a finisher
  • Fixed Vector Reflection persisting on respawn
  • Fixed Final Matchup clothing issues
  • Fixed mob clothing bugs
  • Fixed “A” QTE on console
  • Fixed Edit Title setting

This update is a full-scale expansion rather than a simple content drop. With new characters, sub-characters, deep system upgrades, creative tools, emotes, and balance improvements, Jump Showdown is moving toward a much more polished and feature-rich experience.
