How To Get Every New Unit in Anime Vanguards 9.5

Update 9.5 adds seven new units, but they all come from different places: banner, Worldline, and event missions. This guide walks you through how to get each one step by step, plus a few tips so you don’t waste time or currency.

All New Units in Update 9.5

There are seven new units you can obtain in this update:

• Lich King (Ein) – Vanguard / Fall headliner
• Ghost Girl (Perona)
• Jailer (Bleach unit)
• Black Hole
• Ghoul (Tokyo Ghoul–themed)
• Horse Girls racer (Worldline)
• Brandon the Boss / Unstable Mind (Mob Psycho)

Five come from the Fall banner, one from Worldline floor 50, and one from the Fall event missions.

How To Get the 5 Fall Banner Units

These five units are all obtained the same way, through the Fall Banner in the Summons area:

• Ghost Girl (Perona)
• Jailer
• Black Hole
• Ghoul
• Lich King (Ein)

Steps:

1. Go to the Summon / Banner area in the lobby.
2. Select the Fall Banner.
3. Spend your summon currency (gems / tickets) to roll.
4. Any of the four standard Fall units (Ghost Girl, Jailer, Black Hole, Ghoul) can drop.
5. Lich King (Ein) is the premium Vanguard unit and will be much rarer than the others.

Because the update just launched, almost nobody has Lich King yet outside of very lucky players or heavy grinders, so expect a lot of pulls before you see him.

How To Get the Horse Girls Worldline Unit

The horse racer–style unit comes from Worldline Season 8:

1. Go into Worldlines from the lobby.
2. Progress floors as normal until you reach Floor 50.
3. Clear Floor 50 to unlock the Horse Girls unit as the Worldline reward.

Note:

• Worldline scaling has been massively increased this season, so Floor 50 is now effectively “hard endgame” rather than casual content.
• You’ll want strong meta units, traits, and good supports before you push for this unit.

How To Get Brandon the Boss / Unstable Mind (Mob Psycho)

Brandon the Boss (also called Unstable / Mob Psycho unit) is not from the banner. You get him by finishing the Unstable Mind event missions tied to the Fall Event.

You must complete three specific objectives under the Unstable Mind / Fall event tab, then claim him as the final reward.

The three missions are:

1. Clear the Fall LTM Game Mode 10 Times
   • Open the Event / Fall LTM mode.
   • You can run the regular LTM mode for faster clears.
   • Infinite variant also counts but is slower because it can go on as long as you survive.
   • Finish 10 full runs (from start to completion) to check this off.
2. Evolve 3 Fallen Kingdom Update Units
   • You must evolve three of the new Fall units. Valid choices include:
   – Ghost Girl (Perona)
   – Ghoul
   – Black Hole
   – Jailer
   – Any other unit flagged as part of the Fallen Kingdom update
   • Evolving the same unit multiple times on different copies still counts, as long as you complete three separate evolutions.
   • Use the Fall shop and event items to get the evolution materials you need.
3. Clear 10 Fall Portals
   • Go to Event → Fall Shop.
   • Purchase Fall Portals (they cost 500 gems each).
   • Run the portals you bought – any tier works, so you don’t have to push to the highest difficulty for this quest.
   • After you finish 10 portal runs, this objective is complete.

Once all three are done:

1. Go back to the Unstable Mind mission tab.
2. Claim the final reward – this gives you Brandon the Boss / Unstable unit directly.

Using the Fall Shop Efficiently

Inside the Fall Shop you can buy:

• Fall Portals (needed for the portal mission)
• Evolution items for the new Fall units
• Older event items like:
– Evil Remembrance
– Snowflakes
– Ice Boxes
– Gift Box items

This is the main place to:

• Get the materials to evolve your three Fallen Kingdom units.
• Grab rare and previously time-limited items to finish older evolutions.

If you’re pushing for Brandon quickly, your priority path is:

1. Buy enough Fall Portals to hit 10 runs.
2. Grab the evolution materials needed for three Fall unit evolutions.
3. Use leftover currency on universal items (trait rerolls, rare evolve mats).

Fast Progression Route for All Seven Units

If you want to be efficient and aim for every new unit, this is the clean order:

Focus on Fall LTM clears first
– Start grinding the Fall LTM 10 times to clear the first Unstable Mind mission.
– This also generates event currency (Leaves) for the shop.

Summon for Fall Units While Grinding
– Use your saved gems on the Fall Banner.
– Your goal: pull at least three different Fall units you can evolve, plus anything extra for dupes.

Evolve 3 Fallen Kingdom Units
– Use event currency in the Fall Shop to buy evolve items.
– Evolve three Fall units to complete the second Unstable Mind mission.

Buy and Clear 10 Fall Portals
– Purchase portals from the Fall Shop.
– Clear 10 runs (any tier) to finish the third mission.

Claim Brandon / Unstable Mind
– After all missions are done, claim him from the event screen.

Push Worldline for Horse Girls Unit
– When your team is strong enough, go for Floor 50 in Worldline to secure the racer unit.

Keep Rolling for Lich King (Ein)
– As you keep farming currency, continue summoning on the Fall Banner to eventually secure Lich King if you haven’t already.
