The Safari Harvest update turns Grow a Garden into a true community sprint. Every hour, a new plant type is requested, every submission feeds a global point bar, and every milestone unlocks toys for everyone—weather events, shop stock, reduced cooldowns, even the Safari Egg. It’s the Summer Harvest blueprint, dialed up with smarter rewards and faster pacing.
This Grow a Garden SAFARI HARVEST Update guide strips away the confusion and shows you exactly what to do, in order. You’ll learn how hourly hand-ins work, which seeds print the most money, how to chain the new mutations (Lush, Arid, Stampede) for huge multipliers, and the best ways to stack pets like Giraffe, Rhino, and Hydra for nonstop growth and egg hatching. We’ll also cover the pass rewards worth pushing for, the Safari shop gear that actually matters, and a few tight farming routes to keep you ahead of the global curve.
1) How the Event Works
Hourly Submissions
An event NPC requests a plant category (e.g., woody, flower, fruit), rotating every hour.
Submit any plant that fits the category to earn Safari Points and personal rewards.
If you’re unsure whether a plant fits (e.g., coconut/cacao for “woody”), check your in-game plant guide for type tags.
Global Safari Points (New)
Points are global across all players/servers. Hitting milestones unlocks new features, weather, and shop stock for everyone.
Examples called out in-game UI during the showcase:
100 pts: Safari Rain unlocks.
~1,000–2,000–8,000+ pts tiers: Safari Egg, Safari Night weather, Safari Crate, etc.
Higher tiers (100K / 500K / 1M / 10M): additional unlocks and reduced shop cooldowns (reportedly down to 15 minutes at the very top tier).
Exact thresholds can shift during live tuning—always check the Safari Shop board in your server for the current ladder.
Personal Rewards
From your own submissions you can pull:
Safari Eggs (event pets)
Common Safari Egg (older starfish returns)
Paradise Egg (Mimic, Octopus, Capybara, Peacock, Ostrich pool)
Bee Egg (back for the event)
2) New Weather & Mutations
Safari Rain: event weather tied to early global milestones.
Safari Night: periodic night event; certain behaviors/mutations trigger.
Safari Stampede (global event): chance for fruits to gain the Stampede mutation; pet cooldowns advance 2x during the event.
Key Mutations
Lush: x3 money multiplier (from Lush Sprinkler gear).
Arid: x6 money multiplier (also applied by Giraffe to sibling fruits on the plant it eats from).
Stampede: very large multiplier (showcased as “50 money multiplier” in the demo).
Mirage: applied by Rhino when it rams fruits.
3) Safari Shop – New Gear & Utility
Lush Sprinkler: applies Lush (x3) to nearby fruits. Bread-and-butter money printer—buy early.
Safari Totem Charm: calls Safari Rain on demand.
Explorer’s Compass: points to the most valuable fruit nearby (great for hunting valuables—be mindful of theft risks on public servers).
Zebra Whistle: makes your pets run around; currently more cosmetic/fun than utility.
Mini Shipping Container: feeds all pets by ~5% hunger per use—tiny bump, best as a top-up.
Safari Egg / Safari Crate / Mini Shipping Container are also milestone unlocks; stock appears as the global bar advances.
4) Seeds – Values, Where to Get Them, and Notes
From the Season Pass
Thorned Red Rose – ~27k sell
Banana Orchid – ~37–40k sell
Bull’s Hand – ~60k sell
Viburnum – ~61k sell
Ghost Pepper – ~70–85k sell (varies; demo UI showed ~70k)
Thorn Spire – ~107k sell; Level 50 reward or 0.5–1% chance from Zenith Seed Pack
Zenith Seed Pack: pulls from seeds available in the pass (no extra exclusives).
From the Safari Shop
Orange Delight – ~40–45k
Protea – ~100k range
Baobab – base around 100k; large fruits seen at 140k–187k+
Limited-Time Highlight
Trinity Fruit: limited seed with a secret aura—every 5 minutes it mutates a nearby fruit with a random Safari mutation. Availability may roll out gradually; if it’s not in your live server yet, check back later.
Sell values scale with fruit size and active mutations. Use Lush/Arid/Stampede to spike your returns.
5) Pets – Season Pass Lineup
Armadillo (early pass): every 7.5 min you roll for 30s as a ball. Great mobility burst for chores and event routes.
Stung Beetle: every 6 min battles another player’s beetle; wins grant beetle-only items (e.g., Beetle Lollipop, Beetle Chew). Level/weight improve win odds.
Mantis Shrimp: every 15 min “punches” things in your garden for useful effects (notably pet XP and occasional goodies).
Hydra (Level 47, Divine): every 41 min ages itself, hatches an egg, and applies Terrain mutation. Cannot be mimicked or refreshed.
When you sell Terrain-mutated fruits, there’s a ~6.2% chance to propagate a random mutation from that fruit to another fruit in your garden.
Top-tier utility for passive hatching and mutation cycling.
6) Pets – Safari Egg Lineup
Oxpecker (Common): When Safari-type pets finish abilities, their cooldown restarts 14s shorter. Great passive engine for Safari teams.
Zebra (Rare): Every 30 minutes on the clock, all Zebras Stampede between shops and grant a random Safari gear. 10% chance to trigger again on each stampede.
Giraffe (Legendary): Every 15 min eats a fruit ≥10 studs high for 1.53× sell value; advances the plant by 1h 7m and applies Arid to the other fruits on that plant. Amazing single-target value amplifier.
Rhino (Mythical): Every 15 min rams a random egg or fruit. Eggs get hatch time halved; fruits gain Mirage mutation. Egg-hatching powerhouse.
Elephant (High rarity): Every 20 min blesses an Age 50 pet → resets to Age 1 and increases base weight by +0.1 kg if it’s <2.1 kg. Can’t bless other Elephants. Enables long-term weight scaling.
7) Battle Pass – Structure & Rewards
Pricing remains similar to prior passes.
New quests and a reward track including pets (Armadillo, Stung Beetle, Mantis Shrimp, Hydra) plus seeds, cosmetics, crates, lightning rod, and the Zenith Seed Pack that pools the pass seeds.
Milestones worth targeting:
Hydra for hatch/terrain synergy.
Ghost Pepper and Thorn Spire as reliable earners.
8) Systems & QoL Still In/Back
Digging quest remains (Lich Crystal still obtainable).
Spooky Chest, Twilight Pack, and Forever Pack are currently present.
Pet Shop UI revamped: fewer dialogues, direct sell interface for selecting exact pets.
9) Money & Progression Routes (Practical)
Early Progress (Global Points < first few tiers)
Focus submissions to hit Safari Egg and Lush Sprinkler unlocks ASAP.
Buy Flash sprinklers? No—go straight for Lush Sprinkler once available; park it near your highest-value patch.
Mid Progress
Farm Baobab and Protea; stack Lush and catch Arid/Stampede windows.
If you have Giraffe, grow at least one tall plant to feed for 1.53× spikes and built-in Arid spread.
Use Rhino to halve hatch times and to seed Mirage into money runs.
Hydra handles egg hatching passively—pair with Rhino for an engine that never sleeps.
Late Progress / Farming Loops
Build a mutation garden: a few high-value anchors (Baobab/Thorn Spire), plus Trinity Fruit if available to spray random Safari mutations every 5 minutes.
Keep a Lush Sprinkler permanently cycling on your money row; layer Safari Night or Totem rain for extra event triggers.
Time your Zebra stampede ticks at the half-hour for free gear.
