If you’ve been grinding Rogue Piece lately and want to know which swords are actually worth your yen and time, this breakdown is exactly what you need. I’ve tested every obtainable sword in the current version of the game, ranking them based on damage, move set quality, and overall fun or efficiency in real fights. Let’s go through each one step by step.

Rogue Piece Sword Tier List & Complete Guide

C Tier — Katana

How to Get:
You can grab the Katana right from the Starter Island, making it the first real weapon most players get their hands on. It’s super cheap and perfect for beginners still learning the basics of combat.

Performance & Moveset:
The Katana only comes with one move, but it gets the job done early on. The animations are smooth, and the swing speed is quick, though you’ll quickly outgrow it once you start facing tougher enemies.

Verdict:
Solid for a start, but you’ll drop it as soon as you can afford something better.
Tier: C

B Tier — Dual Katana

How to Get:
Head to the Desert Island and purchase it for 50,000 yen. It’s one of the first major upgrades you can make in terms of both style and damage output.

Performance & Moveset:
You get two moves with this weapon, and both hit much harder than the starter Katana. The animations feel weightier and more aggressive, giving you that satisfying “dual-wield” vibe. It’s a great pick for early to mid-game grinding.

Verdict:
Stronger, flashier, and much more efficient than the basic Katana.
Tier: B

B Tier (Lower) — Dark Blade

How to Get:
Purchase the Dark Blade at Glacier Island for 200,000 yen. It’s a pricey weapon, but one that many players grab expecting big results.

Performance & Moveset:
Despite its cool look, Dark Blade only has two moves, and surprisingly, its damage matches the Dual Katana — even though it costs three times more. It’s still usable, but the value just isn’t there.

Verdict:
Cool design, but overpriced for what it offers. You’re basically paying for looks.
Tier: B (below Dual Katana)

A Tier — Zangetsu

How to Get:
Head over to Rogue Town and use the Zangetsu Gacha. It’s a bit luck-based, but worth it when you pull it.

Performance & Moveset:
Zangetsu gives you a four-move set, which immediately puts it ahead of most other weapons. The attacks feel smooth, powerful, and versatile — great for boss fights and PvP alike. It also hits higher on the DPS scale than Dual Katana.

Verdict:
Stylish, powerful, and balanced — definitely worth the effort.
Tier: A

A Tier — Tanjiro’s Nichirin (Taniro’s Sword)

How to Get:
You’ll find this one by taking on the Tanjiro Boss on Slayer Island. To spawn him, first defeat 50 Slayer mobs, then summon the boss and grind for the necessary drops. Once you have all the materials, you can purchase Tanjiro’s Sword directly on the island.

Performance & Moveset:
This sword’s standout feature is its cutscene-style ultimate attack, which deals an impressive 12,000 damage. It’s flashy and devastating, but its downsides are the weak M1s and limited range. You’ll have to fight up close, which can be risky in tougher encounters.

Verdict:
High damage, low range. Feels incredible to use, but not always reliable in tight fights.
Tier: A

S Tier — Sun Jin-Woo’s Dual Daggers

How to Get:
Travel to Rogue Town and face the Sun Jin-Woo Boss. This fight can drop the materials needed to craft or purchase his Dual Daggers once you have everything.

Performance & Moveset:
These are easily the best weapons in the game right now. The mobility they offer is incredible — you can dodge, reposition, and maintain constant pressure on enemies. The damage is great, but it’s the fluid combo potential that really sets them apart. You’ll notice how much easier it becomes to survive and keep up consistent DPS in boss fights.

Verdict:
Unmatched mobility and fun factor. The ultimate sword setup for players who like speed and control.
Tier: S

Every weapon in Rogue Piece has its place, especially early on when you’re still getting a feel for combat. But as you climb through the islands and start tackling tougher bosses, mobility and DPS become the key factors. That’s why Sun Jin-Woo’s Dual Daggers sit comfortably at the top right now — they simply let you do more while staying alive longer.

If you’re still progressing, don’t rush straight for the rare drops. Master your timing with the Katana and Dual Katana first, then move up to Zangetsu or Tanjiro’s blade when you’re ready for higher-stakes fights.
