The event starts in One Punch City, Second Sea, where the brand-new Sans Dungeon has appeared. The first thing I noticed? It’s tough. Enemies hit harder than anything else we’ve seen this year, and the energy grind is real. But the payoff is worth it.

It’s classified as a Godly Soul, and that’s not just for show. This thing can melt bosses and turn PvP fights into pure chaos. If you’ve got the patience for dungeon farming, you’ll get your gem’s worth a hundred times over.
Awakening Sans – “Bad Time” Mode
Once you get the regular Sans Soul, the next step is awakening it into Awakened Sans 💀🔵 (BAD TIME).
And trust me — this form takes everything to another level.
Here’s what you’ll need before you go hunting for the Awakener:
- Be a Sans Soul user (obviously)
- 1 Sans Energy (drops from the Sans Dungeon)
- 1 Gaster Blaster Scroll (also from the Sans Dungeon)
After collecting both, head back near the dungeon entrance where you’ll find the Sans Awakener NPC. Hand over the materials, and you’ll unlock Awakened Sans — complete with his own aura, voice lines, and, of course, a Gaster Blaster attack that looks incredible in motion.
The whole transformation sequence is dramatic. The blue glow sharpens, the attacks gain new patterns, and suddenly your screen looks like a bullet-hell simulator. The “Bad Time” name isn’t just a nod to Undertale — it’s a warning.
Crafting Awakened Sans Shadow
If you’ve got extra drops from the dungeon, you can use them to craft two limited-time exclusives:
- Awakened Sans Shadow
- Gaster Blaster Mount
These are both part of the Halloween event and, from what the devs confirmed, won’t be returning after the update ends.
The Gaster Blaster Mount in particular is insane — it’s fast, flashy, and has an aura effect that pulses every few seconds. It’s probably one of the best mounts visually in Anime Spirits so far. The Shadow, on the other hand, looks more subtle but fits perfectly if you’re building a full Sans aesthetic.
If you plan to grind the dungeon, make sure to hold onto those materials — crafting both while they’re available is 100% worth the effort.
The New Accessories – Sans Coat and Pants
This update also dropped two new Sans-themed accessories, and they’re some of the best stat pieces we’ve seen in any event.

I paired them with the Awakened Sans Soul for testing, and the damage spikes were absurd. Everything melted — mobs, bosses, even players who usually tank my builds.
New Code and Bonus Changes
The devs also dropped a new code for this event:

A small note: if you’re new or just returning, the Arise System is now free and unlocked from Level 1, which makes progression smoother than before. No paywall, no waiting — you can start experimenting with builds right away.
They also confirmed that Sans will get a free permanent version in the next update, so even if you don’t grind him out immediately, you’ll want to awaken him before this event ends to secure that perm slot.
Let me be honest — the dungeon is brutal the first few runs. It’s not just a stat check; it’s a coordination test. The boss has a ton of range attacks, and the energy projectiles can easily one-shot if you’re not dodging correctly.
The best setup I found was running a balanced squad: one heavy DPS (ideally someone already using a Godly Soul), one support build with crowd control, and a ranged player to chip damage. Going solo is possible but painful.
Once I got the hang of the boss’s attack pattern, it became a grind loop — but not a boring one. Every drop felt rewarding, and every piece of progress built toward unlocking that Awakened Sans transformation.
If you’ve been waiting for a reason to jump back into Anime Spirits, this is it. The Sans Halloween Update is pure fan service done right — flashy, rewarding, and packed with enough power creep to make every fight feel fresh again.
