The Rogue Demon FLAME REWORK Update introduces a complete rework of Flame Breathing, alongside widespread balance changes to multiple breathing styles and demon arts. This patch focuses on tightening up combat mechanics, reducing exploitability, and shifting the PvP meta in a meaningful way.
Whether you’re a Flame main or just someone trying to stay competitive, here’s everything you need to know.
Rogue Demon FLAME REWORK Update Guide – Codes,
Flame Breathing has been completely overhauled, featuring brand-new visual effects and refined mechanics. While the style retains its core identity, several exploits and design issues have been addressed.
- Rengoku can no longer be used while jumping
- Fixed a bug where Rengoku’s attack caused unintended flying
- Rengoku spam has been patched to enforce cooldown properly
These changes aim to bring Flame Breathing more in line with the rest of the game’s styles, especially in ranked or competitive play, where Rengoku’s previous behavior created imbalance.
Insect Breathing Changes
Insect Breathing received a mix of buffs and nerfs, fine-tuning its combo potential and punishing whiffed attacks.
- Caprice cooldown decreased from 17 to 15 seconds
- Uprising Pierce damage reduced from 15 to 12
- Bee Sting cooldown increased from 15 to 16 seconds
- Uprising Pierce is now blockable
- Caprice now has endlag when it misses
These changes make Insect Breathing less oppressive in aggressive matchups and more punishable when poorly timed.
Beast Breathing Changes
Beast Breathing now leans harder into its fast-paced, close-range playstyle while losing some of its ability to overextend.
Devour cooldown increased from 13 to 17 seconds
Crazy Cutting cooldown decreased from 27 to 23 seconds
Pallisade Bite now activates faster and has longer reach
This makes Beast Breathing more dangerous in short bursts but forces more careful resource management.
Dark Thunder Changes
Dark Thunder saw some of the most impactful nerfs in this patch, primarily to tone down its burst damage and iframe abuse.
- Dark Lightning cooldown increased from 15 to 17 seconds
- Thunder Swarm cooldown increased from 15 to 18 seconds
- Heat Lightning is now parryable
- Rumble and Flash M1 and M2 now deal reduced damage when blocked
- Dark Thunder no longer bypasses anti-team mechanics
- Rumble and Flash no longer deal 70 damage when blocked
These adjustments force Dark Thunder players to play more carefully and reduce its dominance in team fights and duels.
Destructive Death Art Changes
This style has been slightly nerfed to reduce its defensive utility and make its openings more punishable.
- Collapse M2 is now blockable and has reduced iframes
- Air Type stun duration reduced by 0.2 seconds
Blood Sickle Art Changes
- Circular Slashes M2 now has reduced iframe duration
This small but important change makes Blood Sickle less capable of trading safely during all-in attacks.
Koketsu Arrow Art Changes
- Arrow Evade M1 has increased endlag
- Arrow Skate is now more consistent when hitting ragdolled enemies
- Loading delay has been removed
- These fixes improve overall responsiveness and make the art more reliable in practice.

This update reshapes the competitive landscape in Rogue Demon. The Flame Breathing rework brings visual improvements and much-needed balance, while the other breathing and demon styles are now more fine-tuned for fair, skill-based combat.
Dark Thunder and Flame lose their spam-heavy potential, while styles like Insect and Beast are more balanced in terms of cooldowns and punish windows. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to revisit your favorite style and see how it fits into the new meta.
