A massive new update has dropped in Ro-Ghoul, introducing Arima’s Dual Wielding Quinque: Ixakami (IXKA). This is not just a reskin of IXA or Narukami — it’s a unique “stage” that fuses both weapons into a dynamic, dual-wield kit.
Below is everything you need to know about the update, from requirements to mechanics and balance changes.
Ro-Ghoul Dual Wielding Update – Ixakami (IXKA),
1. New Quinque Stage: Ixakami (IXKA)
- What it is: A fusion stage combining IXA + Narukami.
- Access: Appears as a second stage for both IXA and Narukami once unlocked.
- Requirements:
- 1000 Levels
- 15,000,000 RC
- Must own either IXA or Narukami, with the other stored in your inventory.
This design lets veteran players who already own one quinque unlock the dual wield without starting from scratch.
2. Dual Wielding System
IXKA introduces a Priority Swap Mechanic:
- You always have both weapons active, but one is treated as the Priority Weapon.
- How to Swap Priority:
- Tap Block (quick press).
- Use Basic Attack (KA).
- Use Special 1 (S1).
This means every fight feels fluid — you can pivot between IXA’s stabbing/CC and Narukami’s lightning/range on the fly.
3. Modes
IXKA has two distinct combat styles:
- King Mode
- IXA = Lance Mode (mobility).
- Narukami = Ranged Mode (projectiles).
- Best for controlling neutral and poking from safety.
- Reaper Mode
- IXA = Gimmick Mode (tendril-based strikes).
- Narukami = Blade Mode (slashing, execution).
- Best for lockdown combos and finishing targets.
Players can swap between these modes mid-battle using SB (Swap Mode).
4. Ability Highlights
- King Mode = Fast lunges, projectiles, and AoE tendril setups.
- Reaper Mode = Knock-ups, lightning combos, and big finishers.
- Signature Skill: RS3 (Reaper Mode) — a cinematic execution-style combo:
- Dash + stun,
- Tendril wall knock-up,
- Lightning strike finisher that slams the target back to the ground.
5. Balance & Bug Fixes
- Owl MS2 Bug: An unintentional 0.3s stun time caused by knockback has been fixed. It now matches the original pre-recode version.
- Cooldown Adjustments: IXKA abilities scale differently depending on whether they hit or miss, rewarding accuracy and timing.
- Damage Types: Some skills use Light Damage (doesn’t shred block), others deal True Damage for guaranteed chip.
6. Free Code
- New Code: Ixakami
- Redeem it in-game for grind help (boosts/resources).
This isn’t just another quinque drop — IXKA changes how fights in Ro-Ghoul feel. Instead of being locked into one playstyle, you’re juggling mobility, zoning, and execution tools all in the same kit.
It’s the closest thing to high-level weapon switching gameplay in the game so far, and players who can master the priority system will have a huge edge in PvP.
If you already own IXA or Narukami, this update rewards your investment and gives you one of the most flexible quinques in the game.
