The latest Type Soul update dropped a powerful new Resurrection—the Bio (Cell) Resurrection. Inspired by Dragon Ball’s Perfect Cell, this res not only looks insane but also hits like a truck.

With multiple high-damage abilities, short cooldowns, and even hyper armour, Bio is already being called the strongest resurrection in the game.

Type Soul Bio Resurrection Guide – Strongest Res in the Game

Bio is a Legendary-grade Resurrection for Hollow evolutions.

Activating it triggers a dramatic cutscene where your character transforms into a Cell-inspired form—complete with wings, tail, and a monstrous aura.

Once active, you gain access to a powerful new moveset that blends beams, barrage combos, and teleport slashes.

It’s flashy, it’s destructive, and right now, it feels borderline broken.

Bio Resurrection Move Set

Bio comes with three core abilities, each of which deals massive damage and has surprisingly low cooldowns.

1. Negative Power Range (Key Blast / Z)

Fires a projectile-style key blast.

Good for poking at mid-range and setting up pressure.

Scales well in combos when followed by melee or another ability.

2. Destructive Wave (Beam / C)

Launches a large energy beam that deals about half a health bar if it connects cleanly.

Can combo into knockbacks or set up crit confirms.

Also acts as a zoning tool to punish careless players.

3. Vicious Strike (Barrage / X)

A rapid slash barrage, ideal for close-range punishes.

Can ragdoll enemies if timed correctly.

Extremely short cooldown—players noted it feels like “no cooldown” in some fights.

Special Traits & Strengths

High Damage: Almost every ability chunks half a bar of HP.

Short Cooldowns: Most moves cycle in 10 seconds or less, letting you spam pressure.

Hyper Armor: Some moves grant hyper armor, allowing you to trade hits without interruption.

Combo Potential: Works with crits and ragdolls for extended combos.

Block Bypass: At least one ability (X) can bypass blocks, forcing players to respect it.

How It Performs in Ranked

Players who tested Bio in ranked noticed:

It shreds through posture quickly, forcing opponents into guard breaks.

The Destructive Wave beam is difficult to punish due to range and damage.

Immortal Dodge variant synergy makes it even harder to fight against, giving “free damage” opportunities.

Certain combos (crit → Destructive Wave → barrage) are essentially guaranteed damage.

In short—facing Bio feels oppressive. Most players describe it as unfair in 1v1s.

Right now—yes.

  • Bio Resurrection combines damage, hyper armor, block bypass, and low cooldowns into one package.
  • Even the showcase creator said, “This should’ve been Mythical, not Legendary.”
  • Many are predicting nerfs, especially to cooldowns and damage values.

Tips for Using Bio

  1. Abuse Short Cooldowns: Don’t hesitate—spam abilities to keep opponents locked down.
  2. Mix Beams & Melee: Start with ranged pokes, then close in with barrage or crits.
  3. Capitalize on Hyper Armor: Trade hits when needed; Bio can survive exchanges better than most resurrections.
  4. Chain Into Crits: Ragdoll setups let you extend damage past what most opponents expect.
  5. Stay Aggressive: Bio thrives on pressure. Giving space reduces its effectiveness.

Tips for Fighting Against Bio

  • Learn to Parry: Some moves (like the barrage) can be parried with tight timing.
  • Bait Out Cooldowns: Force them to whiff beams, then punish.
  • Maintain Distance: Don’t let Bio chain melee + crit combos.
  • Expect Hyper Armor: Don’t overcommit to trades—you’ll lose.

The Bio Resurrection is easily one of the flashiest and most powerful additions in Type Soul to date. Its huge damage, oppressive cooldowns, and flashy Dragon Ball-inspired design make it a must-have for Hollow players.

Right now, it feels overtuned and will likely be adjusted in future patches—but while it lasts, Bio is arguably the strongest res in the entire game.
