Catching fairies is one of the most important parts of the Fairy Event Update 2 in Grow a Garden. Fairies give you Fairy Jars, which are used to unlock exclusive rewards in the Fairy World. If you’re wondering how to get started, this How to Catch Fairies and Get Fairy Jars in Grow a Garden explains everything you need — from crafting the tool to collecting fairies and using the jars.
How to Catch Fairies and Get Fairy Jars in Grow a Garden
Step 1: Craft a Fairy Net
To catch fairies, you need a Fairy Net. This item lets you interact with roaming fairies across the map and inside the Fairy World.
Fairy Net Crafting Recipe:
- 1x Picked Sunbulb
- 1x Strawberry Seed
- 1x Harvest Tool
- 100 Fairy Points
Once you have all the items, go to the Fairy Crafting Bench and craft the Fairy Net. The process takes only 30 seconds, and you can repeat it as many times as needed.
Step 2: Catching Fairies
After crafting a Fairy Net, equip it and start looking for roaming fairies. These glowing fairies spawn randomly in the main map and more frequently inside the Fairy World.
When you see one, walk up to it and use your Fairy Net to catch it. If the catch is successful, you’ll automatically receive 1 Fairy Jar.
Step 3: What Are Fairy Jars Used For?
Every time you catch a fairy, it’s stored in a Fairy Jar. These jars are used as currency during the Fairy Event. You can:
- Trade them at event NPCs (like Lumina) for rewards
- Submit 100 jars to get an Enchanted Chest
- Unlock gear, cosmetics, and pets by meeting jar-based milestones
Fairy Jars are one of the most important resources in this update, so catching fairies regularly is key to making progress.
That’s all you need to know to start catching fairies and collecting jars in Grow a Garden. Make sure to check out the full event guide if you want to see what to spend jars on or which pets and seeds are worth unlocking first.
